  • Contrans Flatbed Group Focus Meetings

To:  All drivers, owner operators, and staff

We have had a number of changes in our workplace over the last year – everything from the introduction of the Jake Break to a new truck wash and the soon-to-be-opened driver room.  We also have National Truck Appreciation Week coming up next week.

We think that in addition to other company events planned for the week, it is also a good time to look back at the last year and make sure that we are meeting our goal of continually improving our workplace.

As a result, over the course of the next week, an external facilitator named Herb Roseneck will be conducting Focus Groups with small groups of drivers, dispatchers, maintenance and administrative staff, supervisors and managers at our locations in Hagersville and in Mississauga.  We will be working with our North Bay location in order to provide an opportunity for their feedback as well.

Herb is a consultant/trainer and has spent more than 35 years working with employees to help improve hundreds of workplaces.  His purpose at Contrans Flatbed Group is to listen, ask questions and with your help, identify opportunities for us to make Contrans Flatbed Group an even better place to work.

We hope you take the opportunity to participate freely and actively in your meeting with Herb. It is important that everyone know that Herb will not tell us who made certain comments.  Instead, his mandate will be to give us a summary of the meetings and provide recommendations as to how we can improve.

Kristen Fess will be putting together a schedule of meeting times so that Herb can meet with a number of you, while also ensuring that we continue to provide excellent service to our customers.  We hope you will take this opportunity to speak with Herb and provide your input and ideas.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to speak with Kristen directly.  She can be reached at 877.790.1226 X2236, cell 905.379.2787 or her email [email protected]
